Iseese Day: Governor Makinde declares August 20 work free day

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared August 20 a work-free day to mark 2024 Isese Day.

The governor’s Special Adviser (Media), Sulaimon Olanrewaju, announced on Wednesday that the declaration was contained in a circular issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo. Makinde had stated last year that August 20 would be observed as a work-free day in the state in commemoration of Isese Day.

In the circular, the governor encouraged all traditional worshippers and citizens to use the day to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of the state and the country as a whole.
