Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will tomorrow lead a high-level federal government’s delegation to Niger Delta communities as part of the ongoing efforts towards addressing the renewed militancy in the region.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande, disclosed this in a statement yesterday.

Militants had claimed responsibilities for the series of attacks on oil and gas installations in the region, resulting in a sharp decline in production.

President Muhammadu Buhari had late last year met with elders and leaders as well as other stakeholders from Niger Delta with a view to resolving the crisis in the region.
