Senator-elect for Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Ned Nwoko has expressed sadness over the demise of aide of over two decades, Mr Bolum Okwuchi.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Mr Okwuchi slumped and died on Monday during the swearing in ceremony of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as Governor of Delta State at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
“His passing left an immense void in my team and in my heart. However, I am consoled by the impactful legacy he left behind and the good memories we created, especially knowing that I was with him in the hospital during his last hours,” Nwoko said.
In a statement, the Delta North Senatorial District Senator-elect disclosed the sudden and untimely departure of Okwuchi left him deeply shaken.
The statement reads: “It is with heavy heart and profound sadness that I write this.
“For over two decades, Bolum has been an integral part of my team and has served with unwavering commitment and unparalleled passion.
“His sudden and untimely departure left me deeply shaken and grieving for the loss of an exceptional individual.
“Bolum’s journey with me began in 1999 when I was a member of the House of Representatives, representing Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency.
“Since then, he has been an integral part of my campaign team upto the very last election where he served passionately as my campaign Director of security.
“Beyond his professional achievements, Bolum had an exceptional ability to touch the lives of those he encountered on a personal level.
“His passing left an immense void in my team and in my heart. However, I am consoled by the impactful legacy he left behind and the good memories we created, especially knowing that I was with him in the hospital during his last hours.
“May your soul find eternal rest Bolum Okwuchi. You will never be forgotten in a hurry.
“To Bolum’s family, I offer my deepest condolences. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
“I hope you find solace in the knowledge that Bolum was cherished and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. I stand by you, ready to offer my support as you navigate life without him”.
