A retired Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) official in Ekiti State has raised the alarm over his son’s recent travel history to Lagos and the need for him to self-isolate for 14-days elsewhere before gaining entrance into his house.

The man said he repeatedly warned his son not to travel to Lagos over the rising COVID-19 cases recorded in the state. He also insisted that despite undergoing the COVID-19 test, his son can’t stay in his house till he is certified free by the state government and the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NSDC).

The video uploaded on Facebook on Wednesday by Olalere Olayinka, media aide to ex-governor Ayodele Fayose, saw the man and his son answering questions from security officials. He also repeatedly said ‘I can’t risk contacting COVID-19 from my son. If his results come back negative, he is free to come back home’.
