Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has appointed the immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government, Festus Ovie Agas as Chief Strategist of the State.

In a goodwill message, the Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, described Agas as a perfect gentleman, a detribalised Deltan and a seasoned administrator who during his tenure as SSG discharged his official functions without fear or favour, adding that his appointment as State Chief Strategist came at the right time, and a square peg in a square hole.

He noted that Gov Okowa recognized the creative skills and analytical strength of the former SSG which is why he placed him in the right position so as to deploy his wealth of experience as a think-tank member of the Stronger Delta team.

“I thank governor Okowa for appointing former SSG Agas as State Chief Strategist. We in Delta Central are proud of the enviable contributions of the governor in the development of the district and the state in general, since assumption of office.

“With Agas as State Chief Strategist, the brain box of government which also comprises Exco members shall surely do justice to the Stronger Delta blueprint, for the total socioeconomic remodelling and transformation of the state.

“I pray God to grant Barrister Agas excellent health and uncommon foresight to enable him discharge his assigned official responsibilities without blemish,” Oghenesivbe said.
