Petrol Souvenir: Party organizer arraigned in court on four count charge

Chidinma Ogbolu also known as Erelu Okin has been arrested and arraigned by the Lagos state police for the petrol souvenir saga.

Recall that kegs of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) was distributed at her party held at Havilah Events Center Lagos few weeks ago during the peak of the fuel scarcity.

Lagos police spokesperson, Adekunle Ajisebutu noted in a statement released on Tuesday that she was charged to court on Monday.

She was arraigned on a four-count charge of conduct likely to cause breach of peace, endangering human life by distributing combustible matter in a public gathering.

Others are intent to do harm to another, unlawful storage and containerizing petroleum product without permit.

Ogbolu appeared before the Special Offences (Mobile) Court of Lagos State at Oshodi under Ikeja Magisterial District.

However, it wasn’t clear if Erelu Okin pleaded guilty or not.

Alabi reiterated the command’s commitment to protect lives and property and warned citizens against acts capable of endangering human lives.

Although Erelu Okin later apologized for the act carried out at her party, she was still arraigned before a Lagos state magistrate court to serve as deterrence to others.
