The Kaduna State Government has faulted viral story of Thursday which suggests that sixteen business men from Kano state who were returning from a business trip on Wednesday from Abuja where killed by bandits.
In a statement released on Friday, Kaduna State commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said, the story is misleading and incorrect. According to Aruwan, the “Kano indigenes perished in accident, and were not killed by bandits on the Kaduna-Abuja Road”.
“….The fact is, they perished at the Rigachikun axis of Kaduna-Zaria Road in a road accident following a burst tyre….” Aruwan said.
“….Our deep condolences go to their families, as we pray that their souls rest in peace. We also wish those who sustained injuries speedy recovery….” He added
