Frontline presidential aspirant and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has likened his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party (LP) to leaving a palace for a hut.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Obi made this known in an interview on Arise TV on Friday when he once again emphasized that he is not desperate to become the President of Nigeria.

The former Anambra State Governor, however, said that he believes in building and that the Labour Party resonates with his ambition; hence, his movement into the party.

He added that he is a creator and that his aim is to see to a Nigeria that works for the youths, while also adding that the people are the structures any political party needs to win an election.

“Leaving the PDP is like leaving a palace to a hut. I believe in building. I am a creator. The people are the structures that we need,” Obi said when asked how he will fare in the Labour Party that has no structure.

He added: “I am a facilitator for the youths taking back their country. I want a Nigeria that works for the youths. I want to see a Nigeria that works. I want to remove Nigeria from consumption to production”.
