…Ondo already in turmoil

The chess game has begun towards 2023 as the All Progressives Congress, Nigeria’s ruling party displays its warfare weaponry in Edo, Ondo and Rivers states.

Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation is not ready to shift grounds until his foot soldiers are solidly placed.

His men are already threatening to turn Rivers into a war zone if they are not properly situated in the Rivers State APC political structure.

To give their threat teeth to bite, Victor Giadom was displaced and Igo Aguma the chairman was suspended.

Another die-hard Amaechi loyalist Davies Seconte was immediately appointed to take charge of Rivers APC.

This is simply to clear the coast before the war drums of 2023 start echoing as it’s a bit veiled for now.

Ondo, is already in turmoil as Rotimi Akeredolu displaces all men linked to his deputy, Agboola Ajayi who has given the APC quit notice to embrace a new political future elsewhere.

Ajayi, a grassroots man is set to use his grassroots support base to send Akeredolu into retirement in Ondo politics as APC shivers over his defection.

TNG reliably gathered that APC leadership is making frantic efforts to bring him back before he sinks their ship in Ondo.

Ondo is an earmarked test ground like Edo and of late Rivers state that’s known as the hot bed of dare devil politicians.

At the national level, the centre can no longer hold as IGP Muhammad Adamu’s men barely four hours ago sealed its secretariat in Abuja and summoned all the warring factions in APC to an emergency meeting.

There are allegations that the Senator Abiola led NWC members are working for suspended chairman of APC Adams Oshiomhole.

This may not be far from the truth as just last Monday (yesterday) Oshiomhole’s prodigy, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu got the APC guber ticket by merely raising his hand dusting other contestants with over 27,000 votes.

A clear indication that Oshiomhole was still very much in control of the party despite the suspension order hanging over his head.

The outcome of the meeting with the IGP by the warring factions in the party will determine whether the centre of APC can still be functional.

As it is, the centre is dysfunctional while three of its wings in Rivers, Edo and Ondo are in disarray.

The chess game for 2023 has begun nobody can genuinely hit his chest in APC that the chess game will come to an end before 2023 as the political virus plaguing APC may not come to an end despite the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari.
