AFCON 2023: Bafana Bafana will capitalize on the Super Eagles weaknesses – Hugo Broos

Hugo Broos, the coach of the Bafana Bafana of South Africa has said he will look to exploit the weaknesses in the Super Eagles when both teams clash on Wednesday in their semi-final fixture at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

The two countries will slug it out at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake, on Wednesday night for a place in the final of the AFCON.

It will be first meeting between both countries at the AFCON finals since the Super Eagles eliminated the Bafana Bafana 2-0  in the semi-final at the 2000 edition.

South Africa defeated the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties to set up a semi-final clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

“We know now that it will be Nigeria, we are in the semifinal so from tomorrow we start analyzing and we will see how we can use the weaknesses in this team but also be aware for the qualities and there are a lot of qualities in that team,” Broos told a press conference.

“For both teams it’s a little bit special because in a few months we play each other for the qualifiers for the World Cup so it can be a test for both of us.”
