TheNewsGuru Sports reports that Kano selected scored through Auwalu Sani in the 44th minute of the entertaining encounter while, Osas Okoro equalised for Eagles in the stoppage time with a stunning free kick.
Kano Selected had dominated the Eagles in the first half of the game, but the eagles fought back in the second half of the match.
Coach Salisu Yusuf, attributed the result of the game to fatigue.
“Most of our players are tired because they played for their respective clubs at the weekend and travelled down to Kano.
“We cannot be over emphasising on fatigue only, we are going to also work and see where we have not performed well and work on it,” he said.
He said that the team were gradually picking up. “The boys are trying because the players have been doing a lot of goal scoring exercises and training. It is not something that could pick up over night,” he said.
TNG Sports reports that eagles are camping in Kano for the final preparation for the first leg, second round of the championship for Aug. 11, in Cotonou.
