Liverpool midfielder, Arthur Melo has been ruled out for few months after suffering an injury in training this week.
Melo underwent a surgery in London on Saturday.
The Brazilian will not be in action until the new year and will also rule him out of the World Cup coming up in Qatar.
The Central Midfielder has played just 13 minutes for the Reds since joining on a season-long loan from Juventus on transfer deadline day.
Arthur is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League, as his only appearance came as a substitute in the 4-1 Champions League defeat to Napoli last month.
Liverpool is paying a loan fee of €4.5 million and has the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of €37.5m.
Liverpool’s midfield woes continues with Melo ruled out for three months.
Recall that most Liverpool midfielders are on the injury list of the clubside.
