Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino is full of praise for Kai Havertz.
Cascarino highlighted Havertz for his performance in Germany’s 4-2 win against Portugal on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking on TalkSport, the former Blue hailed our Champions League winner for his impact in Joachim Low’s side.
“Havertz is a special player,” Cascarino said. “He is growing in stature all the time. He did it at the end of the season for Chelsea.”
The 22-year-old was heavily involved in the two own goals scored by Portugal, causing trouble in the box.
Havertz later grabbed a goal of his own, becoming Germany’s youngest ever goalscorer in any major competition since 2010.
“Playing the game yesterday, he’s infectious in the way he plays,” Cascarino added. “He’s a lot quicker than people give him credit for.
“When he gets going, he can move.”
