Manchester United are currently in negotiations with goalkeeper David de Gea about his future.
The Spaniard, who was tipped to leave United for Real Madrid for so many summers during his peak, ended up committing his best years to United.
Now that his deal is expiring in the summer, Untied and De Gea are arguing over a new contract.
Per the Manchester Evening News, United want De Gea to accept a lower wage and status as possible no.2 from next season.
The club are ready to renew him, but only on reduced terms that suit their plans.
The Spaniard wants to maintain a wage close to the £375,000 a week he earns, but he is the best paid keeper on the planet by some distance at present.
