Odegaard’s move to Arsenal a big mistake – Ex-Madrid president

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says the club will regret selling Martin Odegaard to Arsenal.

Now Gunners captain, Odegaard is playing the best football of his career.

Calderon told VG: “It is a great pity and it appears to be a big mistake.

“He is doing very well at Arsenal. The point with Real Madrid is that we don’t have room for everyone, it’s a shame.

“Sometimes players leave because there are too many players in that position. Maybe Martin wasn’t at his peak then. But he’s a great player, that’s why we signed him.”
