Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech was happy with his playing return in last night’s Premier League 2 clash with Tottenham.
Cech has come out of retirement, two years after hanging up the gloves, and conceded twice in last night’s 3-2 win.
He told Sport Invest: “The first 20 minutes I was looking for my usual movements. Gradually I adapted to the pace of the game and generally felt fine.
“I’ve been working hard for the last months. However, I hadn’t played for a year and a half, so I was a little nervous before the match.
“With the help of this match, I was able to return to my previous state, which was necessary if I was suddenly needed in the Premier League.”
