The Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has reaffirmed commitment in coming up with Standards, Guidelines and Frameworks that would support the development and effective regulation of Nigeria’s IT sector.
The DG made this known today while addressing the committee of Chief Information Security Officers of Nigerian Banks, led by its chairman, Mr Igboh Abumeze who paid a working visit to the Agency’s Corporate Head Office, Abuja.
The delegation was at NITDA to brief the senior management of the Agency about its activities and also explore collaboration in the areas of Cyber Security, Data Security and Privacy.
“We are working together with international partners such as Microsoft in securing the cyberspace of Nigeria,” Dr Pantami said adding “we regulate the IT Sector in Nigeria in order to support development”.
