The newly married Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave everyone an unforgettable conjugal experience at St. George’s Chapel on Saturday.
In no particular order, we take a look at the notable moments of the wedding
- Meghan Markle being walked down the aisle by Prince Charles
Before today, a lot of mixed feelings trailed this simple activity. This occurred because Meghan’s father had reportedly been down with a heart attack, and she had released a statement revealing he would be absent from her wedding to focus on his health.
In the same vein, there has been speculations that her mother Doria Ragland would walk her down the aisle instead, but her father-in-law, Prince Charles, was the one who did.
2. The choristers gave UK a taste of American melody
Kingdom Gospel Choir sang ‘Stand By Me’ at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. The melodies and harmonies made the message of the song instructive.
3. Sheku Kanneh Mason’s violin presentation

Sheku Kanneh-Mason, winner of the BBC Young Musician, was on the violin as the orchestra performed right after the Archbishop of Canterbury delivered the blessing of the Marriage, after they were proclaimed husband and wife. His dexterity on the violin added glamour to the event
4.The First Kiss
Many thought the newly weds would share a kiss during the service, it was not until after the service that the lovebirds shared their first kiss. Just after exchanging vows in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the newlyweds appeared on the steps of the chapel and shared a kiss before their carriage procession through the town.

5. The wedding sermon
A minister from the United States, Michael Curry was the one who, surprisingly, gave the sermon at the Royal Wedding. His impassioned and entertaining message endeared the congregation to him.
