Students of the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) on Monday took to the streets of the federal capital territory (FCT) in protest.

The demands of the students are that the management re-open and extend the school fee portal till end of session and that no late payment of any registration fee, including add and drop.
Other demands of the students are that the school management review the school fee charges ahead next session and review of College Of Health Science fees for the current session.
The students also want the school management to postpone the first semester exam date till 8th of March, 2021.
Meanwhile, Oladeja Olawale, the Student Union Government (SUG) President who led the protest has said the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Expressway would be closed with the protest continuing till all their demands were met by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na-Alllah.
The protest led to a serious gridlock along the expressway with motorists and other road users spending hours before reaching their destinations.
During the protest, students of the university were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions.
Reacting, the Public Relations officer of the University, Habib Yakoob, said the management would sit with the students union to address their demands.
