The National Grid, serving electricity across the country and managed by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has collapsed again.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports only Delta Power plant was active on the National Grid with 41.00MW as of 12:00 noon today while Afam had 1.7MW.
As of 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, power generation had peaked at 3,594.60 megawatts (MW) from the last collapse experienced barely 5 days ago.
Recall the grid collapsed last Thursday and the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu blamed a fire outbreak for it. However, the cause of today’s collapse is yet to be disclosed.
TNG gathers power generation dropped from the peak of 3,594.60 MW to a meagre 42.7 MW as of the time of filing this report.
