RnB singer, Praiz was earlier in the week arrested by men of the Nigerian Police. Though the soft spoken singer has been released, the incident further instigated the #EndSARS movement trending on social media.
Praiz who kept mum earlier on the issues as finally broken the silence.
Speaking in a recent chat with Goldmyne TV, he said the unlawful arrest has to stop.
Hear him: “I was on my way to my label’s end of the year party; I took an Uber because I didn’t want to drive. I was stopped around Ajah Axis. When I noticed I was double crossed, I switched to my camera and I started recording.
The Policeman asked me why I was recording and I asked him: “ Who are you?” He snatched my phone and I told him he has no right to snatch my phone. He told them to take me to the cell. The policeman came into the car and they took me to the police station.
When we got there, he reported to a senior colleague who happens to be a woman. The first thing she said was: “Take him to the cell”.
I said to myself: ‘This is crazy’. She doesn’t even know the situation and she told him to take me to the cell. I can imagine what happens to people who are not celebrities on a daily basis. I am going to use my music to speak out. The nonsense has to stop.
