Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated with masked artiste, Bisada Ologunde a.k.a Lagbaja, on his 60th birthday.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Atiku described the award winning singer as one who has been coronavirus-proof long before now, in reference to the singer’s costume.
The former presidential aspirant wrote: “60th birthday greetings to ‘omo baba muko muko’, the masked one who was #COVID19-proof long before this season. I wish you many more years in strength and good health.”
In a chat with TheNewsGuru, the revered singer said Nigerian music is growing.
“People complain that Nigerian music is monotonous, but we are growing.Now we have learnt to use Nigerian beats . Even if an artiste is doing hip hop, the beat is still Nigerian. That is growth, you might say many of them don’t play instruments, Micheal Jackson no dey play Instrument.Its an explosive industry, its growing. We are the influence on other African nations”
Lagbaja has released over eight albums which includes: ‘Ikira’, 1993, Lagbaja, 1993, Cest Un African Thing, 1996, ME, 2000, WE, 2000 and others.
