Veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor has recounted how Chika Okpala and the late Pete Eneh made her join Nollywood.
Ozokwor in an Instagram post on Thursday, reflected on her early days as an actress while also sharing a throwback picture.
The actress, who is fondly called Mama Gee, said the duo were her classmates at the Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) where they enrolled in the mature students’ programme.
“Early years in Nollywood. Eyes firmly on the goal. Fun fact: I was introduced to Nollywood by chief Zebrudaya (Chika Okpala) and Pete Eneh (may God continue to rest his soul),” she wrote.
“They were my class mates in ESUT mature university program. They couldn’t believe how much I made them laugh everyday in class. They practically dragged me into Nollywood (story for another day). Before then I was doing radio drama and stage play.”
She has featured in hundreds of Nollywood hit movies and snagged numerous awards including the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ gong at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
