Nigerian singer, Simi has learnt her voice to the #ENDSARS protests ongoing in severe parts of the country.
The outspoken songstress has taken to her Instagram page to express her thoughts on police brutality in Nigeria

She wrote: “To be honest, recently, I started to feel a certain lack of hope as regards Nigeria. I was afraid that we are too far gone for redemption. But that’s bullshit. Nobody can, nobody should fight our fight like us. It’s amazing that our people have decided to use their voices like this. At a certain point, enough becomes too much.
“I’ve personally encountered this, I have friends, family that have encountered this. Police Brutality has to end. There is no excuse for this. Not just with the police, but with the unfair treatment of the Nigerian people. I’m not able to join protests right now, but as always, I’m with you! I pray our voices count this time around #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutality”.
In the same vein, Korede Bello has also denied he had been silent on the #EndSARS .
“I am not silent & I’ve never been silent. I’ve only been speaking in spaces I’m convinced can decisively provide policy solutions to these recurring challenges.
“Something has to give & we must adopt & consistently implement solution that works for our country & generations unborn.”
