Muyiwa Ademola give reasons for deaths in the entertainment sector
Talented Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola has stated the reason for the deaths in Nollywood. The award winning actor known for his excellent role interpretation said most actors work round the clock , spending nights and movie locations. He added that they don’t go for medical check-ups.
Speaking in an interview with Punch, he said:”A very big problem we have in our industry is that we work round the clock, we spend nights at movie locations but we don’t go for medical check-up. I have a doctor and I go for medical check-up every three weeks. I know when to take some days off work. For instance, if I work for about two weeks; I take a few days off to relax. I would just eat and rest. I also make sure I go on vacations and all I do in those times is just to eat and sleep. Most of the deaths in the movie industry are a result of accumulated stress without paying attention to one’s health”.
Ademola joined the Nigerian film industry through Charles Olumo, popularly known as Agbako who was based in his hometown, Abeokuta. He later met a movie director called S.I Ola who taught him acting and movie production. He began his acting career fully in 1995 when he produced his first movie titled Asise meaning mistake in English. The production was sponsored by Dibel who deals in generating sets. Since 1995, he has produced, direct and featured in several Yoruba Nollywood movies. On January 2013, it was reported that he was involved in a fatal accident, which almost resulted in his death.
