Nigerian Afropop artiste, Sugar Boy has revealed the greatest price he has ever had to pay for his music career.
The singer signed to Kiss Daniel’s former record label, G-Worldwide noted that he had to take a break from music so as to rebrand his craft and get better.
Speaking in a chat with TheNewsGuru, he said:”The greatest sacrifice I have ever made for my music career was going back to the drawing board after a song I did with Mode 9. Like Fela said, Music is spiritual. I had to go back to do my own background work and try to be the best version of myself. I then returned to the industry”.
On how he responds to social media comments, he said:” When people comment it means they notice you , and even they hate you , it doesn’t mean they don’t have a little bit of love for you. Social media has made me reach out to my fans more”.
When asked about how his 2017 fared he said:”An artiste succeeds gradually, in the year 2017 Sugar Boy became a household name. I am grateful to my label and to God.”
