In her own remarks, the author explains how the book was inspired. “I had read a similar book a few years back, Bad Girls of the Bible and it really made the word of God come alive to me. For personal study, I did a study of all the women in the bible and I began to realize that we actually have a lot to learn from them, they look like us. I wanted people to see that we had a lot to learn from this women that what defined them wasn’t their situation, what define them was Christ. This was a major inspiration for me”.
Laju says it took her four weeks to write the book, adding that she had written a few chapters of the book for her blog earlier.
“I wrote the book in the space of about four weeks, that was my job. I just recently resigned to focus on blogging and ministry. I was working harder than I did as journalist with Vanguard. I would wake up my daughter, will go to crèche, she will come back and meet me in front of my computer. My husband said he didn’t realize how much of a workaholic I was, until then . I had written a few chapters of the book on my blog http://LajuIren.com earlier, so It was a bit easy for me to continue from where I stopped.
“I feel very grateful because this is a book I want everybody to read. It’s a book that shouldn’t be ignored. Sometimes I read the book and I ask myself: ‘Did I write this?’ The book can speak for itself, everybody who reads it can testify. I feel grateful”.
Speaking further on her hopes and aspirations for the book, the enthusiastic author says it is her desire that lives will be changed on a global scale as a result of reading the book.
