Why did you decide to delve into film-making?
I didn’t just delve into film-making but it’s a plus to my acting career . It also provides an avenue to help grow my career . I cannot make films without partaking in them. The way the industry is today, it is hard for producers to give roles except you are a known face. Making my own films gives me a good platform to prove myself to other filmmakers.
Are you satisfied with how far you have come?
I am not satisfied. I am still striving to get to the top.More of me is yet to come, I am just beginning.
What are the challenges of being a filmmaker?
Being a filmmaker isn’t easy. If you haven’t done it before, you cannot know how challenging it is. From preparation to production and then post-production, the challenges are enormous.I had a challenge with some of my colleagues in my first movie production. Some of my colleagues whom I paid didn’t show up. The ones who showed up didn’t finish my shoot. They demanded for extra pay because we didn’t finish the shoot as at the stipulated time. Some old filmmakers wanted to frustrate me even after entrusting them with my project.
Then there is the challenge of the editor calling you, saying your hard drive is corrupt and he cannot recover anything . The challenges are enormous, but we give God the glory.
Most of the roles you play are sensual, do you have issues with that?
I actually don’t like such roles because as a result of my looks, people tend to feel that such roles will fit me more .I prefer to play the role of a wicked woman, wife , sister or a village girl. I try my best to play such roles because I am an actor. I play such roles because I am not yet married. If I were to be married I cannot play such roles, deep down in my heart I am not comfortable with such roles.
Have you ever had an embarrassing moment with a fan?
I have had several embarrassing moments with fans. One lady embarrassed me a year ago because she was talking to me and I couldn’t respond because I was making a call. I cannot even remember some of the experiences.
Most of the things written about you are mostly about your curves and bum. Do you love to be perceived that way?
I don’t want people to define me by my curves or sex appeal. However, I have discovered that no matter how I try not to talk about it, the media still find a way to accentuate that part in interviews or blog posts. I am not just about being curvy, I am also talented. I have a great personality , I am a humanitarian who desires to make an impact and help orphans like myself.
Can you cope in a sexless relationship?
Yes I can, as long as my partner does the needful. Sex is not food , so I can even stay in for a year or more as long as the partner is doing the needful I wouldn’t even dare to look outside or be distracted by any man.
