Popular actress and comedienne, Helen Paul has stated that she cried when she was initially denied a visa into the United State of America.
Paul who now resides in the United States of America, stated this during an Instagram Live session with Pastor Kayode Ijisesan monitored by TheNewsGuru.
“I still have my UK ten years visa and America I have been there many times. How come I was denied? I started crying and sometimes I would fast. God I need help. I called everyone that I thought could help me.They said:”Call me back I am in a meeting”. Then suddenly you called me from nowhere asking about my wellbeing. You asked me when I am coming to America .I replied by saying I don’t have visa, I have been rejected. You said to me, it’s you America is looking for, how come they rejected you? People that are not up to you in terms of profiling are coming to stay in America. You then introduced me to a Lawyer”, she recounted.
Speaking further, the entertainer said at times she feels she is not as big in America as she is in Nigeria.
“Then I got my permanent residence to stay .Now I am here. Unconsciously again, ‘Oh God I am not as big as I am in Nigeria’. Then I talk to friends and they tell me ‘It’s difficult, how I did my own? I sent them to the same lawyer but things weren’t working. The quest that man has is beyond comprehension. We ask and we keep asking, it’s never enough. Somebody gives you five hundred thousand naira, you thank the person every month. But in your mind you are praying that he gives you more. We keep looking for more. The spirit of manipulation is also coming to you. That is why as a child of God, you must begin to guard your spirit and speak to yourself”.
