Businessman and social media personality, Ubi Franklin, says he makes money whenever he is trolled on social media.
Franklin made this known as a guest on ‘Rubbin Minds’, a TV show anchored by media personality, Ebuka Uchendu.
When asked about how he deals with trolls who criticize him, he answered:” I believe relationship is personal whatever picture you paint for your kids growing up, is very important. Money follows attention. For every time they hit me like that on social media, I make more money. I used to feel very bad .I would get into my room and cry anytime it happens I discovered that its either someone is trying to buy a property from my property company, or another person is trying to buy an apartment from my apartment company. Am I going to change what is going on? These are my kids, there is nothing you can do about it.These kids are going to grow up and by the grace of God, become more successful than these people. Am I doing my fatherhood duties very well? Yes. My mum is on social media. You can imagine. So she always call me and says: ‘Don’t mind that person, I saw that comment, Don’t worry’. It just puts you in a position where you have to always embrace your kids”.
Speaking further, the serial entrepreneur noted that he tries to deal with his own issues before
Two things a lot of young men don’t understand and we don’t say it every day is, before you talk about the issues you have with your baby mama for example, you need to ask yourselves about the issues you have with yourself.
I try to deal with my own issues in order to understand the entire fatherhood properly.
A lot of young people don’t understand that if you have a child with a woman, it doesn’t mean you guys are enemies. You just need to understand these people. My son was with me three weeks ago and then he swallowed a coin. When I travel I always have this coins I keep somewhere. He carried them and was playing with the coins. He took one of the coins and swallowed it.I had warned him already. I didn’t even know if I should spank him, what do I do? I was just looking at him. The mother always tell me I am never hard on the boy”.
