Chigul has in the last few years built a career as a comedienne, actress and singer .
The entertainer born Chioma Omeruah hardly opens up about her private life. However in a recent Instagram live chat with Amanda Dara, a media personality, she noted that she struggled with some things in her private life.
In her words: “I dealt with self-esteem issues; I dealt with being verbally abused by a teacher. I struggled with my weight up until my adult life.I have been married; now I am divorced. At the end of the day, my peace of mind is most important”.
Sharing challenges entertainers experience, she said: ”You go from 9-5 when you have steady income and you can budget to becoming an entertainer. As an entertainer, there dry moments. There are moments when nobody is calling you for shows. That’s when you decide how to diversify. So when I am not acting, I am doing others things that can bring in money”.
The ‘Banana Island Ghost’ actress also opened up on how she became a sought after entertainer in Nigeria.
Chigul has twelve characters but she is known as “Chigul” after her most She had given a TEDx talk and appeared as a character in the Nollywood film, Road to Yesterday
