Nigerian industrialist, Folorunsho Alakija has debunked rumours about her attending the birthday party of Laycon, winner of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show.
Alakija, who is ranked by Forbes as the richest woman in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $1 billion, was reacting to a publication by an online blog claiming that she was at the event.
TheNewsGuru recalls that fans of the reality Tv star had organized a party to celebrate his 27th birthday on Sunday.
Reacting via a Twitter post on Monday, the entrepreneur described the news as “fake”. Alakija added that she has no relationship with the reality TV star or his management.
“This is not me and this is fake news. I was not at any party neither do I have any association with Laycon or his management,” she wrote.
In March, Folorunsho Alakija and Modupe, her husband, announced a donation of N1 billion to support the fight against coronavirus.
