Maleek Shoyebi a.k.a Maleek Berry has slammed “elders” in the music industry whom he said have the desire to destroy young artistes.
In a series of bile tweets shared on Tuesday, the talented singer noted that “there are too many fake people in this industry” and threatened to call out names.
The Afro-pop singer ended by saying he will continue to “spread love to all you fake agbayas”.
According to him: “All you so called elders behind the scenes that are meant to be guiding younger African artists but instead you want to destroy people’s names behind the scenes, why because no one is brown nosing you?
“Talking about we need to stick together more but all you grown men do is talk bad about young dudes trying to make something out of their lives and feed their families.
“Thank God I have real people around me In my inner circle I can seek wise counsel from. I will continue to spread love to all you fake agbaya’s.”
Maleek Berry has worked with prominent artistes such as Wizkid, Davido, Wale, Fuse ODG, Runtown and Iyanya. In 2017, he was nominated in the Best Male category of the annual MOBO Awards. He was nominated alongside Mayorkun, Johnny Drille, Chocolate City’s Dice Ailes and Zoro for the Headies next rated category.
