Popular Afrobeat singer, Mr Eazi, has cleared the doubt of naysayers who rumoured breakup with his fiancee, Temi Otedola.
It would be recalled that some days ago, Temi Otedola penned a cryptic note while sharing a teary face that stirred rumours of the relationship breakup.
Neither Mr Eazi nor the billionaire’s daughter responded to the mixed reactions on social media on the alleged breakup- until now.
In a post via Twitter, Temi announced her ambassadorial deal with a fintech industry while sharing photos of herself.
“You’re looking at @investbamboo NEWEST AMBASSADOR ??? It’s time to Dream, Invest & Live,” she wrote.
Her fiance, however, acknowledged the new deal with praising-hands emojis.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Mr Eazi engaged Temi in April and reports of their engagement turned heads on various social media platforms.
Temi made the announcement on her Twitter and Instagram page on Sunday, April 10 alongside a video of the proposal in London.
Recall that the couple’s engagement introduction was easily the most traditional part of their relationship.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that five years ago, they met in person through a family connection. At the time, Mr Eazi was working on the sound for his third mixtape, Lagos to London, a follow-up to his genre-breaking sophomore mixtape Accra to Lagos.
He had begun splitting his time between Lagos, a city where he would spend formative years, and London, the latest city he had set his sights on conquering musically.
“Temi was there as well and was being nice to me. By the end of the night, I took her number,” he said.
After a streak of unresponsive texting on her part, the already famous “Skintight” singer grew frustrated.
“What is she doing that she cannot respond to my message?” he remembers asking.
“A lot!” she replies. Eventually, she decided to go out on a date with her new friend. “It was a crazy night. It was like a 12-hour date!” she shares.
The twosome went from seeing a Fela show at The Jazz Cafe in Camden to Temi reluctantly tagging along as Eazi was summoned for a radio interview.
Following dinner and drinks, they bumped into friends and finished off the night at the club. “I ended up having to drop him home because he got a little too lit,” she giggles. “I felt like I had known him all my life after that night. That should’ve been a sign.”
Somewhere between transatlantic flights and conversations that spilled over from night into day, Eazi and Temi slowly began to accept that they were more than just friends.
