Nigerians on social media are currently reacting to a recent rape accusation against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) by Busola Dakolo.
Mrs Dakolo, who is the wife of a popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, made the revelation during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, which was published on YouTube
The controversial video has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many calling for the pastor to step down till he is proved innocent.
The hashtag #PastorStepDown currently has over 3000 impressions on Twitter becoming a trending hashtag.
In his series of tweet, Akah Nnani an actor and member of COZA wrote:” Let the hashtag #PastorStepDown ring to the four corners of the church. Let us shake this one like there is no tomorrow. I beckon on every good man and every woman. Every twitter warrior and every Instagram influencer. Every celebrity and every pastor to not rest on this one”.
“I still can’t look at my pastors picture. A glimpse & my heart breaks. The love i spoke of for him is real. He’s been such a big influence in my life. But I know the right thing. This is why we cannot allow for him to be on the altar. Bias should not find way”.

In her Tweet, Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju said she woke up to two messages in her DM, corroborating the claims of Mrs Dakolo.
Waking up this morning to DMs from past members/workers of COZA narrating their ordeals. They don’t know each other, 2 of them are strangers to me. Their stories are similar, some were lucky to get away some weren’t. Some were threatened by the church #PastorStepDown

Wedding Party actress, Adesua Etomi noted that Biodun Fatoyinbo should not mount the pulpit to preach any message till he is proven innocent.
Till this issue is handled, till the law takes it’s full course….there should be no sermon on that pulpit from him. No one is pointing fingers but what is right is right. #PastorStepDown

By this time tomorrow #PastorStepDown would have been replaced by #BBNaija2019
A fickle generation will always chase internet publicity wherever it leads, even if it’s away from common sense!

After carefully examining the use of words by the accused Pastor, I can affirmatively confirm that his writing skill is poor & he’s obviously lieing. How dare you address yourself as singular and plural at the same time? And or why drag your members to your case??#PastorStepDown pic.twitter.com/gqJ4eQ0uTU
