Nollywood actor, Ademola Adedoyin needs no introduction. His stellar role in Kunle Afolayan’s ‘October 1st’ movie gave him the leverage needed to make his mark in Nollywood.
Adedoyin who has starred in movies like The Bridge (2017), Lara and the Beat (2018) and October 1 (2014) and King of Boys (2018) has recounted how a childhood experience almost made him quit acting.
The talented suave role interpreter in a chat with TheNewsGuru noted that while he was in primary four he had a terrible experience while acting.
“When I was in primary four, I had a terrible experience with acting. I was to play a chimney
sweep in a Mary Popping’s play and I was to have a moustache and sing songs while running around the stage. As soon as I got on stage my moustache fell off and people started kicking it around, everyone started laughing at me. That experience made me promise myself never to act again”.
He however confessed that having access to much movie content made him reconsider his decision.
“But over time, I guess I couldn’t resist the calling of having access to so much movie contents. Getting to watch Bollywood and Hollywood movies really triggered my acting talent and I guess that’s when I realized I might have the gift and so decided to give acting a try again”.
