Nigerian Singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okolie aka Peruzzi, has revealed his 2023 resolution, saying that this year “we rise by avoiding others.”
In a post shared on his social media handle today January 18, the singer said that he has resolved to avoid people this year.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that he began recording music after working with Rodney malice at the age of seven.
Though his signing to Davido’s DMW was being disputed at some point, Peruzzi is a front member of the 30 Billion Gang also known as 30BG, a record label consisting mostly of Davido’s close associates such as Blacktycoon, Tunegee and B-Red.
Peruzzi was featured on 2Baba’s single “Amaka”. He is often called the Vibes Machine because of his ability to release songs at short notice for himself – and whoever can fork over his fees.
Born to an engineer father and a nurse mother, Peruzzi is the last of three children. He has two elder sisters—Peruzzi’s interest in music dates back when he was seven years old. At the time, his father had bought him a piano.
According to him, every member of his family sings. He was a choir member, and the first song he ever learned to play was a Christian song. His destiny wasn’t in gospel music, however.
Peruzzi was in medical school in Ukraine and doing random gigs. However, he was motivated by the positive feedback he received for his singing and decided to return to Nigeria to focus on music.
Since his debut, Peruzzi has gotten various award recognition and has also gone ahead to get himself different ambassadorial roles from top brands in the country.
With hits like majesty, a single from his “Heartwork” EP, and features from top artists, he has proved himself to be an artiste capable of dropping hits back to back.
