“We went through a lot. We experienced a lot. We saw a lot. He destroyed a lot of people. I can’t stress to you enough how people are still suffering behind things that went on 20 years ago”, these were the words of R.Kelly’s back-up singer, Jovante Cunningham in the trending Lifetime’s docuseries ‘Surviving R.Kelly’.
Though the RnB singer had denied allegations that he imprisoned and mistreated young women in an “abusive cult” in his song ‘I Admit’, the ‘Surviving R.Kelly’ docuseries continues to spark myriad of reactions.
Soundcity TV presenter, Laura Monyeazo Abebe ,who goes by the name Moet Abebe has expressed her views on the trending docuseries, saying R.Kelly has a problem.
She wrote on her Instastories: ”I don’t need a 6-part documentary to be convinced R.Kelly is a predator. It’s not about him being a successful black man, having the system going against him.Because with or without the ‘System’ the evidences has always been there. It was overlooked, brushed under the carpet for too long.He must be held accountable for what he did. It is obvious R.Kelly in true predator fashion believes he is untouchable”.
