“From Allah we all came, To Him we shall all return,” he wrote alongside a photo of the deceased woman.
“It is with a heart of thanksgiving and calm reflection that I announce the passing away of my most beloved mother. She was called to glory few hours ago.”
The Yoruba actor also revealed that she will be buried today by 2 pm at their family’s house in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.
“Details of Fidau shall be communicated later. Please put my late mother and the family in your prayers at this period. May Allah grant my precious jewel Aljannah Firdaos. Sleep well my mother, Alhaja Aishat Ayoka AbdulKareem,” he added.
In another post, the actor stated that seeing his mother’s body laid to rest brought out an emotional part of him, he never knew existed.
“No child ever prays to see his mother depart.
My mother, my first teacher. Seeing your body being laid to rest brings out a deeply emotional part of me I never knew existed.
If tears and prayers could bring you back, we won’t hesitate to go extra miles to make it happen. Maami Ayoka, you left at a very “tender” age.
You lived well”
