Former President of Igbo think tank group, Aka Ikenga, Chief Goddy Uwazurike, has blasted the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, for his utterances against Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, noting that Igbos would not allow his tenure to exceed one term.
In his words: “I can assure Soludo that he will be a one-term Gov just like his rival in infamy, Mbadinuju.”
In an interview with TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) on Tuesday, he asserted that “Soludo is a frenemy”.
According to him, anything is possible from Soludo so long as he gets that Gov status.
“He is a man propelled by a haunting ambition to be in the good books of PDP. He and his likes are in a panic mode over the success of Peter Obi.
“Their calculation is that the success of Peter Obi will truncate their convoluted and ambitious political plans.
“Charles Chukwuma Soludo even claimed credit for the Paris club resolution. Soludo showed his true personality and this is good news,” Uwazurike added.
He opined that Obi now knows that Prof. Soludo is a complete “sabo”.
Adding: “Typically, he claims to be speaking for us and at the same speaking derogatorily of the Igbo people. Igbo people do not need charlatans in the leadership circle. Igbo people do not need to genuflect before those who have no regard for us.”
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Uwazurike had said the Igbo that went into the war is different from the ones that came out of the war.
He noted that it is the determination of the Igbo that helped them weather the storm.
“The Igbo don’t depend on the government, we are good in personal struggle, the Igbo will survive, the sun will still rise,” Uwazurike maintained.
