The fourteen students of the University of Lagos remanded in prison on Saturday have regained their freedom.
The students who appeared at a Mobile Court in Oshodi Thursday were accused of “riotous invasion” of Lagos-based station, Television Continental (TVC) by the Police.
Recall that the students were remanded in Kirikiri Prison on the orders of the Special Offenses Mobile Court, Oshodi, where they were arraigned by the police for “riotous invasion” of Lagos-based Television Continental, TVC.
The management of the station has since said they found nothing wrong with the students’ behaviour, as they were peaceful in their conduct.
The students had been earlier arrested on the university campus for protesting the suspension of a visually-impaired student and demanding the reinstatement of all suspended student activists.
