Brazil’s senior female national team has been booted out of the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup co-hosted by the island nations of New Zealand and Australia.
The Canaries of Brazil became the most high-profile country to be eliminated from the competition.
Brazil played out a goalless draw with Jamaica in their last group F encounter.
The draw against Jamaica ensured the Canaries failed to qualify for the Knock out stage first time in the tournament’s history.
France finished first in the group after winning two and drawing just one while Jamaica came second after amassing two five points.
The other teams who have been sent packing from the tournament include co-hosts New Zealand, the Philippines, Olympic champions Canada, The Republic of Ireland and Zambia.
