About three dead bodies have been recovered so far from under the debris of a three storey building that collapsed on Thursday at Ire-Akari area of Lagos.
About 19 others were rescued alive by rescuers which include officials of the National Emergency management Agency (NEMA), those from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Federal Fire Service as well as the Police from Ilasamaja Police station.

The building located at No. 2/4 Richard Abimbola street, off Limca Road, Ire-Akari area of Lagos was still under construction as at the time of the incident, as most victims were working at the building site.
The dead bodies of two of the victims were brought from under the debris around 9pm Thursday night while one other body was brought out around 10pm
It was gathered that rescue work was put on hold till Friday morning. It was learnt that rescue work was call off because there were remote chances that more persons would still be trapped.
Ibrahim Farinloye, NEMA Spokesman in the south west region confirmed the three dead bodies and the rescue of 19 person alive.
Rescue work have resumed this morning with the hope of finding more people alive.
