Reports coming out from the camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria is that head coach Jose Peseiro is planning to use another formation in his side’s final group game against Guinea-Bissau on Monday, January 22nd.
Recall that Peseiro started with 3-4-3 formation in the side’s last game against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.
The formation worked out as the three-time champions stifled the Elephants and recorded a 1-0 victory.
However, it’s now learned that he will adopt a flexible formation (4-3-3) against the Djurtus.
The Portuguese gaffer will revert to a four-man defence as opposed to the five he used against Cote d’Ivoire.
Kelechi Iheanacho or Joe Aribo will come into the midfield, with Alhassan Yusuf expected to miss out again as he is yet to recover from the injury he picked up in the game against Equatorial Guinea.
Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau will clash at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Monday.
