The draws for the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) were held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday evening.
The draw was conducted at the brand-new Parc des Expositions, Abidjan, with many ex-footballers in attendance.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are placed in Group A alongside the host nation Ivory Coast.
The AFCON defending champions Senegal are drawn in Group C alongside Cameroon, Guinea and The Gambia.
The tournament will take place in January, 13, and run till February 11, 2024.
