Founder of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has been freed by the Department of State Services, DSS on Monday night after about three hours of intense questioning.
Investigations by TheNewsGuru.com revealed that the firebrand cleric was freed around 11:00pm last night to the waiting hands of his friends, families and congregation who had followed hin the the DSS headquarters in Abuja.
TheNewsGuru.com recalls that the cleric was invited by the DSS over the weekend following an alleged inciting comments made by the cleric while reacting to the religious crisis in the country in one of his sermons.
The Punch reports that Suleman’s Communications Adviser, Phrank Shaibu, confirmed his release in an interview on Monday night, but promised to give the details later.
“Apostle Suleman has been allowed to go. The DSS exhibited high level of maturity, competence and professionalism.”, he stated.
But on his Facebook page, he simply wrote: “Jesus is Lord.”
TheNewsGuru.com also recalls that the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN had on Monday stated that it was behind the cleric but won’t send emissaries to accompany him to the DSS headquarters since he (Suleman) was invited alone.
