BREAKING: Delta Assembly elects principal officers, Emeka Nwaobi emerges Majority Leader

The Delta State House of Assembly on Tuesday elected principal officers of the 8th State Assembly.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the member representing Aniocha North State Constituency, Engr. Emeka Nwaobi emerged Majority Leader.

Recall that the House had on June 13th elected Emomotimi Guwor and Arthur Akpowowo as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively, and adjourned for two weeks.

At the resumed plenary today, the House elected the principal officers to work with Guwor and Akpowowo.

Engr. Nwaobi, is a two time member of the House, after he was voted for in the March 18th General Election.

Other principal officers of the House elected are Festus Okoh, Ika South as Deputy Majority Leader, and Perkins Umukoro, Sapele as Chief Whip.

Others are Emeka Osamuta Ijele, Ndokwa East as Deputy Majority Whip; Alapala, Burutu 1 as Minority Whip, and Dafe Makpor, Uvwie as Minority Leader.
