Senate on Wednesday announced Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru (APC-Kwara South) as its new Deputy Leader to replace the vacant position left by Senator David Umahi.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the Senate also announced Senator Nwebonyi Peter Onyekachi (APC-Ebonyi North) as the new Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate.
While Umahi left the Senate Deputy Leader position vacant after he was appointed Minister of Works by President Bola Tinubu, Onyekachi replaces Ashiru, who was the erstwhile Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate.
TNG reports Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the new replacements during plenary.
