The presidency on Monday denied reports in some sections of the media (TheNewsGuru.com not included) that President Muhammadu Buhari is fed intravenously due to his deteriorating health condition.
The report was debunked by the Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.
Ahmad in a series of tweets on Monday insisted that there was no need for concern over the president’s health.
“The story like many of its kind is untrue, as @GarShehu said on Thursday, there is no need for apprehension over President Buhari’s health,” he wrote.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that Buhari’s health has been the subject of discussion online and offline, after he failed to preside over the FEC meeting for the third consecutive time.
TheNewsGuru.com reports the president also did not attend the Jummat prayer in Aso Villa on Friday, an action which many say is unlikely of him.
