Insurance football club of Benin have been bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup following a 1-0 defeat to Morocco’s RS Berkane.
Morocco player, Youssef Zghoudi beat an offside trap early in the first half to score the solitary goal that gave the Moroccan side the needed victory to scale through.
Both teams battled to a 2-2 draw in the first leg two weeks ago at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
RS Berkane, who won the competition in 2022, qualified to the group stage of the competition while the Nigerian side kissed the tournament goodbye.
Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Rivers United will entertain Burkina Faso’s Etoile Filante on Sunday.
The fixture is slated for the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
They played out a goalless draw in the first leg of the affair in Cote d’ Ivoire two weeks ago.
